Product Description

Glossostigma Elatinoides Platinum, commonly known as Glosso for short, is an extremely rare variant of the common green Glosso seen often in the aquarium trade. Glosso Platinum features foliage that is multiple shades lighter hence its name. Its peculiar color pattern provides a different aesthetic when used as a foreground plant. Because of its rarity, availability is still extremely limited. Like its popular cousin, Glossostigma Elantinoides Platinum mimics the same growth patterns and is growing in popularity in nature aquarium style planted tanks. Platinum Glosso has a tendency to grows upwards if lighting is poor or if other plants or hardscape overshadow it. When planting, small clumps should be placed half an inch apart from each other to help the plants grow together more quickly. CO2 addition and soft water will promote growth significantly.

This plant can grow quickly and will require regular trimming when kept under proper conditions.

Tissue culture plants are grown in-vitro by laboratories who specialize in propagating aquatic plants. There is a huge selection of plant species that have been propagated this way. This is truly the best option for those who want absolutely zero unwanted pests, algae and pesticides. This makes them perfect for shrimp keepers and any planted tank enthusiasts alike.

NOTE: It is important to remove the tissue culture agar gel before planting. Simply wash the gel away, divide, and plant.
