Echinodorus Impai is a classic aquatic plant in the hobby. This Amazon Sword is particularly tall and offers large, rounded leaves with a classic vein pattern. Newer growth appears to be lighter in color and slowly turns to green as the plant matures. Comparable in care to other Echinodorus species, E. Impai will do best when provided with low to moderate lighting, nutrient-dense aquarium soil and softer water. CO2 injection is not required with this family of plants, but will help to increase growth rates, improve color and overall health.
