Product Description

Eriocaulon Buergerianum

Eriocaulon species have become more popular and common in the planted aquarium hobby. Eriocaulon Buergerianum, like other popular Erio plants, grows best when provided with soft water, a nutrient rich aquasoil, high lighting and elevated CO2 levels. While some aquarium plants are known for obtaining nutrients through the water column, Eriocaulon absorb through their root systems, making the use of a quality aquarium substrate or aquatic plant fertilizer tab necessary for better chances of successful growth. Proper growth for Eriocaulon presents as white and firm roots along with rate of new growth and overall uniformity. Eriocaulon species tend to grow in an organized manner and greying roots with lopsided growth may indicate poor health.

Once familiar with Eriocaulon care and growth, these aquarium plants are moderate growers and can be split carefully. This family of aquatic plants are a solid choice for midground placement in mature aquascapes. Eriocaulon provide excellent texture and compact, tufted growth that is loved by many aquarists.
