Product Description

IMPORTANT:  Our bunched and potted aquarium plants may vary in growth forms. Because of this, please understand how to properly transition and acclimate plant(s) into desired form(s). We do our best to thoroughly clean and inspect all plants prior to shipment but cannot guarantee lead bunch or potted plants to be free from snails and/or algae. Not your thing? Please consider purchasing tissue culture aquarium plants!

LIVE PLANTS ARE SUSCEPTIBLE TO STRESS AND DAMAGE FROM TRANSIT - This may appear in the form of minimal melt, leaf loss, cosmetic damage, etc. Refunds or replacements will not be issued for plants with viable root systems.

Bucephalandra plants are a wonderful choice for adding iridescent color to your planted aquarium.

Bucephalandra Green Godzilla is a beautiful Bucephalandra plant. This particular species is a medium to large sized specimen and produces long leaves that are primarily dark green with a ruffled edge. Depending on the conditions the plant is kept in, Buce Green Godzilla has the potential to produce an iridescent glow in the planted aquarium and its pinkish orange stem adds additional contrast to the layout. Being a slow grower, Bucephalandra Green Godzilla is susceptible to growing algae on its leaves and should be placed in an area that provides slight shade. Higher lighting produces more compact growth, whereas lower lighting may result in the plant becoming leggy.

Bucephalandra does best in low to medium lighting and will grow nice and dense if favorable conditions are provided. CO2 injection along with a good flow and regular tank maintenance will promote quicker, more robust growth. The stem and rhizome should not be covered when planting as this will cause the plant to rot and wither. Care can be comparable to other popular aquatic plant species such as Anubias and Java Ferns, but Bucephalandra will not tolerate sudden changes well.
