Product Description

Heteranthera Zosterifolia, commonly known as Stargrass, is a beautiful aquarium plant that exhibits dense, bushy growth of its bright green foliage. A great midground aquatic plant choice, Heteranthera Zoserifolia does best when planted in groups and provided with high-quality aquarium lighting. This aquatic plant grows extremely quick when it is placed in optimal conditions and will require frequent trimming to ensure that lower parts of the aquatic plant are not shaded from the light. Consistent trimming will encourage the beautiful bushy growth that is favored by planted tank enthusiasts. Heteranthera Zosterifolia also has the potential to grow emersed and will occasionally sprout small blue flowers above the water's surface. Propagation is also fairly simple and can be done by separating and replanting into a quality aquarium substrate.

Tissue culture plants are grown in-vitro by laboratories who specialize in propagating aquatic plants. There is a huge selection of plant species that have been propagated this way. This is truly the best option for those who want absolutely zero unwanted pests, algae and pesticides. This makes them perfect for shrimp keepers and any planted tank enthusiasts alike.

NOTE: It is important to remove the tissue culture agar gel before planting. Simply wash the gel away, divide, and plant.
