Micranthemum Umbrosum is a bright green, low-growing stem plant perfect for beginners. It is a versatile species and can be used for nearly any placement within a planted tank. Constant pruning will keep it low growing while leaving it untrimmed will result in vertical growth. As it grows quickly, it is quick to get unruly if consistent trims are not performed. Overall, the shape and growth of the plant is dependent upon tank conditions so please be sure to plan accordingly if you have a specific look in mind. 

Moderate light and CO2 injection are favorable, but it is a forgiving plant and will be fine as long as high-quality substrate is used. 

Propogate by trimming the ends of stems, grouping them together and planting. Be sure that they are not covered by other plants.
